She is Professor of the History of Fashion at the Institut français de la Mode.
Patrick Sigal runs the Brussels gallery Ciel mes Bijoux! in partnership with his wife Godeliève. Over twenty years the couple have built up an outstanding collection, the major items of which are featured in this book.
