Marisa Merz (1926-2019) is a leading figure in Italian and international contemporary art, the only woman among the artists of Arte povera.
Often described as the "absolute eye", she constantly experimented and developed a resolutely personal body of work - drawings, paintings, sculptures, installations - calling on a wide range of materials and techniques. Published as part of her first retrospective in France in thirty years, this book presents the full range of her work, with numerous reproductions, previously unpublished essays and testimonials, a selection of the artist's poems and research carried out in her archives. It's an opportunity to get to know this major figure and his work, which is both intimate and astonishing, with a strange power.
